Voter Fraud in New Mexico | Do you know these people? | Palestra

The Newest “New Mexicans?”

Shelby Holliday reporting from New Mexico (2008-11-03 08:53:29)

It is not the media’s job to determine who has commited wrongdoing… or in this case, election fraud.

What we can do is present the facts as we are aware of them and allow the readers and viewers to draw their own conclusions. Please note that I am not accusing any of these people of voting illegally nor am I challenging their status as a New Mexico resident; that’s not our job at What we are attempting to do is simply point out examples of people whose available information suggests, based on the law interpreted by the New Mexico Secretary of State, that they may have registered and in some cases voted illegally. Prosecuting attorneys and the courts will have to decide that fact.

The following people recently registered to vote in New Mexico and some of them already cast absentee ballots:

We already discussed Mr. Adamski in previous blogs and videos, but here’s a review: According to his bio (, Adamski previously lived in Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1998. In late 2006 or early 2007, Adamski moved to Los Angeles where he began working as a web producer for FOX Broadcasting Company. Furthermore, he was a Democratic delegate and represented the state of California- NOT New Mexico- at the Democratic National Convention just 2 months ago. According to Obama spokesperson Carlos Sanchez, Adamski is a paid employee of the Obama campaign. Adhering to campaign policy, Sanchez wouldn’t make any further comments about Adamski. Adamski registered to vote as a resident of New Mexico on October 5th, and he also requested an absentee ballot. We were unable to speak with Adamski due to campaign policy.

According to an article written in the STANFORD DAILY titled “Breaking Out Of The Bubble,” Shih is an undergrad at Stanford University, and he took a year off to campaign for Obama. The article reads: “For the last year and a half, Shih has been working to promote the Obama campaign all across the country. Before the primaries, he worked as a field organizer in Nevada, Utah, Texas, Mississippi and North Carolina. He is currently a regional field director in New Mexico.” (

Shih has also worked in the Asian American community. Another article on the Stanford website titled “Meet The Fellows” states:

“After leaving the Midwest to spend a summer interning at the Chinese Progressive Association in San Francisco’s Chinatown, Daniel Shih (’09, Political Science) developed an interest in fighting for Asian American issues at the grassroots, community level.” (

During my research I was not able to find anything that made Shih as a qualified resident of New Mexico. He registered to vote in Bernalillo County but does not show up on the state’s absentee ballot database (According to officials, that database is not working properly.) We are looking into whether or not he cast a ballot in New Mexico.

I emailed Shih yesterday morning and have not heard back.

These two young women are both ’08 graduates of UC San Diego and were previously registered to vote in San Diego. They are both campaigning for Obama in New Mexico as well, and they registered to vote at the same address in Albuquerque. While social networking sites are not the be-all-end-all of residency, neither girl belongs to a network related to New Mexico. Furthermore, Mata has a “Myspace Calendar” that indicates her future plans. It reads:

Nov. 7, 2008: SAN DIEGO

Nov. 10, 2008: BAY AREA

Dec. 2, 2008: ITALY

Mata does indicate that she is in Albuquerque on her myspace page: We tried to stop by the home at which these girls are registered for comment, but it was located on a private drive and thus we were not legally permitted to shoot video on that private property. I called Raquel and she confirmed the fact that she registered and voted in New Mexico. However, when I asked her when she arrived and when she planned on leaving, she told me she couldn’t answer any further questions due to campaign policy.

According to her Facebook profile, Feinberg’s hometown is Palo Alto, CA and she graduated from Berkeley in 2007. Also according to her Facebook profile- Feinberg traveled to Santa Fe, NM on August 6 to work as an Obama staffer. She recently registered to vote at the address of “SCHMIDT, PAUL B & ELISE WHELES” in Santa Fe County (according to the Santa Fe Assessor’s website). According to the Santa Fe County Clerk, another Obama volunteer registered to vote at this address as well. I called Samantha but she said she was not allowed to speak with media.

Liroff registered to vote in at the same address as Samantha Feinberg in Santa Fe, NM. According to his Facebook profile, he arrived in New Mexico in July to work as a Field Organizer for the Obama campaign. Prior to that, Liroff worked for the campaign in Philadelphia and Indianapolis. Liroff is from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and is a graduate of Dartmouth. Aside from his campaign work in New Mexico, I can’t find anything else that ties him to the state. According to his Facebook wall, he voted on October 29th. I emailed Michael and have not yet heard from him.

These are just some of New Mexico’s recently registered voters that appear to be out-of-state volunteers and staffers. If we are missing something, we need to know. Unfortunately, a “no comment” by EITHER presidential campaign only leads to more speculation of voter fraud.

According to the New Mexico Secretary of State, Mary Herrera (D), no temporary campaign worker or volunteer is eligible to register and vote in the state. If an individual does not have the intent of making New Mexico their permanent residence, they can not vote.

This might be a problem, considering the fact that the Bernalillo County Clerk told us that there are no mechanisms in place to catch such out-of-state voters. is currently looking into more individuals on both the Obama and McCain campaigns, as well as other organizations that could have potentially taken advantage of New Mexico’s lack of residency verification.

As Senator Obama said in an interview with Katie Couric of CBS News when discussing the legal residence of his aunt in Boston and her status as a U.S. immigrant, he said, “We are a nation of laws… I’m a strong believer you have to obey the law.”

Side note:

Much of my research on voter fraud has started with the examination of Facebook groups. Shortly after writing my last blog, Facebook terminated my account.

Facebook has strong ties to the Obama campaign; it’s co-founder Chris Hughes is the coordinator of, and some of Facebook’s employees are working for Obama in New Mexico and across the country, you have to wonder… is this a coincidence?

Voter Fraud taints America | Not Limited to Swing States | Palestra

Swing State Voter Fraud Crosses Country

Tiffany Wilson reporting from Columbus (2008-11-03 08:52:39)

Obama campaign staffers are voting in swing states across the county – and it appears they are bypassing state residency requirements.’s voter fraud investigation started in Ohio where the law entitles only permanent residents, who intend to remain in the state, the right to vote in Ohio. In the past two weeks, 14 temporary Obama staffers who registered to vote have withdrawn their ballots. The individuals did not meet the legal requirements to cast a ballot in Ohio. When this was brought to their attention, they pulled their ballots. The Prosecuting attorney believes this was a misunderstanding by some “very excited and loyal volunteers.”

On Thursday October 30, turned our attention west to New Mexico. We found a former California delegate to the Democratic National Convention, Shayne Adamski, registered to vote in Albuquerque. New Mexico’s Secretary of State, Mary Herrera (D), said she would turn Adamski’s over to the FBI to investigate.

Two swing states with similar stories sparked my curiosity. So I checked into the other prominent states in play: North Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Virginia and Nevada. The trend continued. From swing state to swing state, some out-of-state campaigners are casting ballots without following election law.

Meet Farah Minwalla, an Obama field organizer in North Carolina. She registered to vote in Mecklenburg County, NC on October 4. According to county auditor reports, the address Minwalla used belongs to a Wanda Nabors. But oddly – Minwalla is also registered to vote in New York AND Nevada. All three registrations are listed as active. So, is she a resident of North Carolina, Nevada or New York? Technically, it appears she could vote in all three.

Minwalla’s online bio for NextGenNow says she is currently pursuing a degree in English and Journalism in New York City. As recently as July, Minwalla wrote a review for a band in Brooklyn, but now she’s registered to vote in swing state North Carolina. The latest RealClearPolitics poll shows Obama ahead by 0.3 percent, in New York Obama leads by 29.7 percent. As I’ve heard so often from campaigners, every vote counts.

I called Minwalla’s cell phone on Sunday and she answered. When I asked when she arrived in North Carolina and why she registered, she handed the phone to an Obama spokesperson. The Obama spokesperson took my questions but gave me no answers. North Carolina election law says you must be a permanent resident to vote.

Let’s travel a little further south to Florida. In September, Julietta Appleton took a leave of absence from work to support Obama. On a posting Appleton writes, “I knew Florida was a swing state…and I am fluent in Spanish. So I left my job (unpaid) for 6 weeks.” She moved to Miami to get out the vote. Now, she’s out of money and requesting help to get back to New York. Appleton’s post continues, “The next four days I will be working 24/7, then celebrating victory, then resting for a day, and then flying home to NY.” Appleton included a picture of herself voting for Obama in Miami. Florida election laws only allow permanent residents to vote.

Warren Throckmorton (see link above) discovered Appleton’s story on – a site devoted to matching swing state volunteers in need of money with donors willing to cover their expenses. Have other individuals used this site to mirror Appleton’s own story?

Crossing the country to Missouri now, we meet William Jay Urquhart. Will is a field organizer for the Obama campaign in Missouri. Along with getting out the vote, Urquhart decided to register to cast a vote of his own in Boone County. His current cell phone has a Washington, D.C. area code. I called the number, left a message and sent him an email. No response.

Missouri election laws are almost exactly the same as Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and New Mexico. All of these swing states have the same guidelines in determining residency – you must be a resident, a resident is defined by the intent to remain in the state permanently or to return to it when you leave. In other words, where you tell people you are from and where you tell people you voted, should be the same place. Further, in these states, election law states you cannot gain residency by temporarily working in the state. Did I mention voting records show Urquhart is also registered to vote in Massachusetts? I found voter registration records of a William Jay Urquhart registered to vote in Connecticut and Massachussets. Is this the same individual?

If not, William please contact me so we can straighten this out.

Virginia last elected a Democratic president in 1964. Obama’s campaign is emphasizing the state known as “the Mother of Presidents” so much, that his final rally will take place in Manassas Park. When I tried to cross check names of out-of-state campaigners and volunteers with the state voter registration database, I hit a wall. The database required name, locality, date of birth and the last four numbers of an individual’s social security number to access so checking or verifying information is near impossible.

While there may be a lack of access to information, there’s no shortage of out-of-state volunteers trying to ‘turn Virginia blue.’ A July 24 Washington Post article entitled, “Obama Seeks Out-of-State Volunteers” states Obama’s campaign is calling for out-of-state support, despite its claims that 10,000 volunteers are already active in Virginia. Obama Voter Protection Program, Counsel for Change is the mirror group to a Facebook group for lawyers in Ohio.

The founder for the Ohio Facebook group, James Cadogan, graduated from Princeton and Columbia then practiced law in New York City. This year, Cadogan registered to vote in Ohio. After’s investigations, Cadogan withdrew his ballot. The Virginia Counsel for Change group has 213 members. Are any of them following in Cadogan’s footsteps?

Nevada is a bit of an outlier. The swing state’s law only requires a 30-day residency to vote. I didn’t find a clause that mentions intent to remain or the requirement of permanency. According to the campaign’s “Drive for Change” website, “Barack needs support not just from all Nevadans, but also from Nevada’s neighbors – especially California. This is the chance for Californians to have a major impact on this historic race.” So, technically the many Southern Californians helping to get out the vote in swing state Nevada could vote in Nevada – as long as they stay for 30 days. It all appears legal.

As for the McCain campaign, the numbers aren’t there. Anecdotal evidence and my personal experience of visiting campaign offices around the country do not reflect the same efficient grassroots, get-out-the-vote machine. But we have been looking and we will continue to look.

Tomorrow is Election Day and doesn’t have the time or resources to document every individual voting in every swing state. But something is going on and for every person I profiled, I have additional names in queue. Out-of-state temporary campaign workers are registering and voting in swing states around the country without meeting the letter of Election law. Election Day is tomorrow, what do we do now?

Subject: Nadler@BHO & Rev Wright

Nadler says that BHO presumably didnt know that Wright was a “nut” & a “lunatic” when he joined the church and that he didnt “didn’t have the political courage to make a statement of walking out” of a church in his district with 8 thousand parishioners

As seen on blogs…

After a BHO campaign event at a Boca Raton synagogue NY representative Jerrold Nadler was confronted by a man about BHO & Rev Wright… tape starts with a lot of crosstalk and presumably a Nadler staffer chiding the man confronting Nadler about Wright… then Nadler ( the audio is a little weak at times and the camera shifts back to the questioner occasionally during answers

[Editor’s note:  wait after everyone stops talking over each other — you see the exact logic that would drive Obama to the associations he has.  It seems logical.]

[Editor’s Note: This would make such a fabulous soap opera.  Here is the latest.  I can’t wait to see what we wake up to.]

API will announce the final move Monday morning on the Michelle Obama tape after Fox News Network ignored a 6 hours ultimatum

API has done the best it could to have the tape released by Fox News Network as stipulated in the agreement. Fox News Network seems to have delayed the airing of the tape intentionally, and yet they are aware of the importance that the contents has and the need to get the contents exposed to the American people before the Presidential elections.

API may decide to ignore the existing agreement if the engaging counsel is in agreement with API’s intended final approach that will enable the necessary steps to be taken in order to find other means to ensure the contents is made public immediately.

On Counsel’s advice, API gave Fox News Network an ultimatum yesterday (Sunday 2. November).

Fox N.N chose to ignore the ultimatum and that has placed API in an awkward position forcing it now to look into the possibility to cancel, without ramifications,  the whole deal and proceed to publicise the tape with the help of any other willing outlet.

API will have a meeting in the morning  with Counsel in order to look for the best solution, thereafter take a decision and inform Fox News Network on the new direction to be followed in order to have the contents of the tape to be made public before the voting day. In the Process, and for the new plans to sail smoothly, and succeed, Fox News Network, if they do not accept to follow the new plan of action, will be asked to accept the cancellation of the existing agreement amicably in order to avoid any future disagreements that may arise and force the parties to move to the courts demanding compensation.

Our Daily API Fix | API Gives FOX Ultimatum | Show Tape in 6 hours

Editors Note:  Half of me really wants this tape to air.  Half of me wonder if it is a fake tape aimed to take down Sean and Greta (like poor Dan Rather experienced).  So if it is “real” then I can see any network taking its time.

API chose Fox News Network as a partner in Michelle Obama tapes’ deal, due to the advise received from all the readers who informed API that the News outlet was one we could trust to air the tape unedited.

Now that the Network has not done as agreed on the 28th of last month, API remains with only one choice in order to force the issue to be resolved immediately. The choice API has now chosen is to give an ultimatum to Fox News Network and hope the situation will be resolved in a few hours to come.

Today afternoon, API took a bold step to give Fox News Network a six hours ultimatum to decide on an immediate release of the tape – “that the tape be aired as soon as possible, latest tomorrow the 3rd of November if it has to have any value in connection with the US Presidential elections taking place on Tuesday the 4th of this month.

In a strong worded letter dictated by API’s Canadian Counsel, Fox News Network has been given the ultimatum to come to its senses and respect the agreement reached in New York on the 28th of October.

API has reminded Fox News Network of the responsibilities that the News outlet took upon themselves in connection with the Michelle Obama tape.

API is not ready to give up on this. The tape must be aired as agreed by the parties. This tape has caused a lot of headache to many people. Demands to release the tape has been enormous and some people have gone as far as getting angered because they do not think the deal is there, and have resorted to the assumption that API is pulling their legs.

Any denials by any one in Fox News Network that seeks to embarrass API will not be taken lightly. Any such denials will be treated as a breach of contract and API will not hesitate taking legal action against the Network. We view the tape as a very important instrument that will serve to enlighten a number of people whose total interest is to have a leadership that earns their trust and will serve them diligently no matter what their beliefs are in today’s America.

The ultimatum has been necessitated by the News outlet’s laxity in taking a decision favourable to the political environment that many voters finds themselves in, after discovering that there is a taped conversation bearing the voice of their “probably incoming First Lady.”

We still hope that our readers and the American people who are interested to listen to Michelle Obama’s voice will not be deprived of that opportunity and we are hopeful that the tape will be aired latest tomorrow the 3rd of November., unless Fox News Network chooses to remain arrogant and deny the American people the right to listen to the tape and interpret the meaning of the contents themselves before the main election day on the following day.

We have been beseiged by spammers in the last two days.  As a result I don’t have time to go through every message trapped by Askimet.  So if I miss yours – don’t feel offended.  It probably means you are either using a prohibited word — submitted the same comment or multiples all in a row — has too many links in your post or are someone we have blocked as your links go to porn or you have been profane in the past.

We have relocated for the rest of the “contest”.  It should be exciting.  We will try to bring you everything we can as we find it.  However approving comments by new posters and sifting through the spam list will take a lower priority.

Hillary Clinton Endorses McCain?

As far as I can tell, this is the message that people in certain states are receiving this weekend.  I think this is actually part of Hillary’s debate speech with Obama but I could be wrong.  What ever it is, it certainly is raising brows and ires among Democrats.

Uh Oh! Confirmed Voter Fraud in New Mexico | Palestra

Out-Of-Staters Vote In New Mexico

Shelby Holliday reporting from New Mexico (2008-11-02 12:35:08)

As a follow-up to our ongoing investigation into issues surrounding voter fraud, we have identified at least 6 out-of-state campaigners that have registered- and in some cases cast votes- in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

I am in the midst of contacting these people to see when they arrived to New Mexico and when they plan on leaving. I want to give them a chance to answer questions before I post anything…

With that being said, I will have a follow up blog at 9am tomorrow morning revealing some of these peoples’ names and backgrounds

My questions for them:

-When did you arrive in New Mexico and when (if at all) do you plan on leaving?

-Can you verify the information on the New Mexico voter registration database? (In other words, did you register and vote in New Mexico?)

-Did someone encourage you to vote in NM?

-What residency requirements are you aware of in order to register and vote in NM?

-Were you under the impression that it was ok to vote in the state even if you don’t intend on living there?

We have spoken with the New Mexico Secretary of State Mary Herrera, who said it is NOT ok for out-of-state volunteers that are living in NM temporarily to register and cast ballots in the state.

We uncovered a similar situation in Ohio where a number of campaign staffers, members of PACs, and out-of-state volunteers registered and voted despite the fact that they have no intention of residing in Ohio after the election. In many cases, their ballots were withdrawn and they no criminal charges were brought against them. Some admitted that it was an honest mistake and that they thought they met Ohio’s residency requirements.

Is this the case in New Mexico?

I will have more for you first thing tomorrow morning!
