Obama’s Blows Kiss of Death to Small Business

Yesterday, I was shocked and amazed at the email I received in my inbox from Senator Obama.  It called for everyone to take the day off for Obama.  This is delivering a serious financial blow to businesses all over America.  It is clear that Obama is NOT thinking of America our current financial crisis but instead is thinking only of himself.  It’s clear I am not the only one who thinks this way, see comments from Greta Van Susteren.  Following her comments is the actual email message I received (minus the video because Greta covers that).

Party Time? I don’t think so…Senator Obama gives Senator McCain a GIANT GIFT!!

by Greta Van Susteren

Are you kidding? telling people to “take the day off” when our economy is in the tank? That’s not a good idea…PRODUCTION is needed! This is not party time, it is work time!!

Yikes! How could Senator Obama make this blunder 7 days before the election?

And what do all the small business people think about this? Can they afford to do this? have their employees take off? That could ruin a small business – if not financially, their good will will be destroyed when their plumbers don’t show up to fix plumbing for a client as promised because their employees “took the day off” ….

And there may be some very unhappy parents paying for college to the tune of $40,000 or more …and the maybe next President is telling their kids to skip class? (or to put it another way “take the day off?”)

If I were Senator Obama, I would pull this ad…FAST!

Would you not think it smarter to emphasize going to work, using absentee ballots, getting others to use absentee ballots, early voting, volunteering AFTER work, or AFTER school or on the weekend?

  1. Go watch see for yourself .

I pledge No allegiance to Obama

And corrupt welfare state for which he stands.

And to Socialist democrats who want to rule .

Will leave no Nation under their thumb.

No liberty , No justice for all.

Reformed democrat that means I voted for McCain.

Tell the people . On Wednesday Turn off Obamas 30 Min sideshow and take the time to think before they vote.

Talk about the issues with their family and friends.

Don’t be sheep. Decide for yourself . But most of all This Great Nation.

  2. Thanks… I think everyone should watch Pushing Daisies and lighten their day during that time or actually have time for the family during that infomercial. We all hate commercials — why watch a 30 minute one?

  3. God Forbid that Americans use their Right to Vote!!!

People should do what ever it takes to vote, with lines hours long in some areas because of Republicans changing voting laws, some people will have to take time off.

In Florida the Republicans changed the voting hours from 12 a day to 8 a day, Why would they do that? Could it be because Republicans do better with less turn out?

You want people to just listen to you and vote McCain, but you do not want to give Obama a chance to change your mind to vote for him. I would ask you to have an open mind and watch his ad on Wed.

Obama is out there giving people a reason to vote for him, while McCain is talking about, not why people should vote for him rather why they should not vote for Obama…

  4. People end up working and not voting. People get tired of waiting for hours to vote, and end up leaving the line and not voting. Voting is the most powerful way we have of shaping the government. the Obama campaign said to take the day off and vote because they want everyone to cast their vote. I think they should make voting day a National Holiday anyway, that way nobody has to worry about missing their vote for an overpowering employer. I also own a small business, and I will be voting for Obama for about a dozen reasons, but one at the top of my list is his stand on healthcare. That will save me money and allow me to provide healthcare for employees, or else allow them to purchase affordable healthcare on their own. That one thing alone is enough for me to vote for Obama/Biden.

  5. Well said Eric!!!
