RUMOR – You Decide | VP Debate | Obama Campaign Fixed Questions???

I have been wondering why Sen Biden has not spent any time preparing for tomorrow nights debate.  It turns out the Gwen Ifill the moderator for tomorrow night’s debate is writing a book on Obama’s Campaign!

Why aren’t Americans outraged at the obvious bias being interjected in what will likely be the most viewed debate of this campaign?  When someone is banking on making a profit from the outcome of the Presidential race, shouldn’t they be recused from a position such as this?  Read and watch below — then you decide.

Product Description
In THE BREAKTHROUGH, veteran journalist Gwen Ifill surveys the American political landscape, shedding new light on the impact of Barack Obama’s stunning presidential campaign and introducing the emerging young African American politicians forging a bold new path to political power.

Ifill argues that the Black political structure formed during the Civil Rights movement is giving way to a generation of men and women who are the direct beneficiaries of the struggles of the 1960s. She offers incisive, detailed profiles of such prominent leaders as Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and U.S. Congressman Artur Davis of Alabama, and also covers up-and-coming figures from across the nation. Drawing on interviews with power brokers like Senator Obama, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Vernon Jordan, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, and many others, as well as her own razor-sharp observations and analysis of such issues as generational conflict and the “black enough” conundrum, Ifill shows why this is a pivotal moment in American history.

THE BREAKTHROUGH is a remarkable look at contemporary politics and an essential foundation for understanding the future of American democracy.

  1. McCain himself said that this is not an issue. But of coarse the right wing wacko’s will use this as an excuse when Palin crashes and burns at the debate.

  2. How do you feel about the fact that the Republicans were NOT informed of this conflict of interest prior to agreeing to Gwen Ifill?

We’ll see who is crashing and burning after Thursday… can’t wait.

  3. All they had to do was google her name and they would have found it out. It was annouced that she was writing this book before the Repub’s agreed on her doing this debate. It took some right wing talk show host to let them know. This is just another way that the McCain campain is out of touch. It was on the cover of magazines, and apparently Palin “reads all of them” so how did she miss this one?

  4. Ifill is writing a book about the rise of Black Politicians, God forbid she have a chapter about Obama, the first Black man to run for presidnet. How dare she!!!

I didn’t know that Obama was going to be in this debate, news to me. Ifill is a very respected journalist and this will not have an effect on how she handles this debate. This is something that is giving Palin an excuse to bomb in the debate, then they can blame it on Ifill.

    Do not believe the hype!!!

  5. hahaha — obviously you don’t know about ethics in Journalism. The person who has the conflict should bring it up to both sides. This has very negative implications for Sen Obama… not for Sen McCain. I’m surprised your not screaming about that. Have you kept up with the facts on this? Good thing you are not debating tonight. hahaha

  6. I see your point. I am a communication Major not a journalism, I hate to write, I like to talk.

It looks like no one kept up on the facts on this point. Why did the story not break untill yesterday. McCain I am sure was waiting for right before the debate to bring it up, so they can blame it if Palin does not do well.

Is it sexist that they picked a woman to moderate?
No because she is very well respected in her field.

  7. Sexist? **scrolling up to see is sexism mentioned in article ** Okay, Chris… I don’t think there is one mention of sexism in my intro to this post or even in the the discussion text.

Are you saying Biden thinks it is sexism because he will be moderated by a women?

  8. no I am just bringing up something silly, I was not talking about your article. Just bring up that, why is it they did pick a female moderator?

  9. You would have to ask the Debate committee which are largely Dems… like Caroline Kennedy, Jimmy Carter – look for that article.
